Note that you can also buy a sour mix from liquor and grocery stores. But for maximum freshness and flavor, we highly recommend that you make your own.
To make your own sour mix, use lemon or lime juice and then mix it with a simple syrup. A simple syrup is a mixture of equal parts of granulated sugar and water that are boiled and then cooled.
Any other lemon-lime soda brands such as Sierra Mist (by PepsiCo) and 7Up (by Keurig Dr Pepper and 7Up International) can also work well in place of lemonade or Sprite.
Peach schnapps is a fermented and distilled drink made by adding peach syrup or flavoring to the clear grain spirit.
